Prior and outside of class, watch the documentary “ Artifact” starring Jared Leto to examine the relationship between an artist, manager, record label, and potential contractual issues. Write a one-two page doublespaced paper providing a synopsis of the overall lawsuit with specifics of the following: • Why did the lawsuit occur? • Provide details of the parties involved. • Was the lawsuit justified and if so on which legal grounds do you think? • If you represented the artist, how would you have handled the situation on behalf of your artist from each team members’ (artist/manager/agent/attorney/business manager, & record label) perspective?
