The aim of this assignment is for you to:
Demonstrate knowledge of radiographic equipment (x-ray tube/digital imaging detector); Recall and explain the principles of image recording/image processing; Demonstrate an understanding of safety issues in relation to equipment design and physical principles.
You will be give five examination style questions to answer. You will be expected to answer the questions that you are provided and use citations to support your answers to the questions. Therefore you will be expected to use resources to assist you with answering the questions set. Any citations used should be referenced appropriately (Vancouver system). The word limit is 1500 words.
Please note:
Word limits do not include the list of references at the end or the appendices. An appendix (one item) OR appendices (more than one item) is information that is NOT ESSENTIAL. However, this information may support your analysis and validate your conclusions.
When to use appendices: The body of the text must be complete without the appendices, and it must contain all information including tables, diagrams and results necessary to meet the assessment criteria.
Examples of items in appendices: supporting evidence (e.g. raw data that is refer to in the text) contributory facts, specialised data (raw data appearing in the appendix, but summarised data appearing in the body of the text.) Firstly, sample calculations (referred to in the text) Secondly, technical figures, graphs, tables, statistics (referred to in the text) Thirdly, detailed description of research instruments (referred to in the text) Further, maps, charts, photographs, drawings (referred to in the text) Also, letters, copies of emails (referred to in the text) Additionally, questionnaires/surveys (questionnaire/survey results appear in the body of the text) Also, transcripts of interviews (summarised in the text) Lastly, specification or data sheets (summarised in the text) The appendices should not be bigger than the assignment itself and should be referenced using the Vancouver system.
