This paper should need to contain a minimum of 5-7 pages of content/body in length and include 3 outside references, not including the sources given in the module. It is also important that at least one of these references be a scholarly journal article (peer-reviewed).
Please be sure to avoid using Internet sources such as Wikipedia or other web-based resources that do not have strong academic backing. You will also be required to use in-text references in your work in accordance with APA style to avoid plagiarism. You must use at least 2 additional scholarly sources used in this course, such as scholarly or peer-reviewed journals. Plagiarism detection software will be used to scan each paper and any paper that is determined to have academic integrity issues will earn a score of 0 automatically.
Students will pick from the general topics listed below, and the student will narrow the topic at their discretion as long as it relates in some way to your understanding of Deviant Behavior. Topics include the following:
How do drugs and alcohol affect deviant behavior
Discuss society’s change in acceptance of certain drugs and how deviance is now becoming a norm (Marijuana, for example, prescription medication, etc.)
Investigate a case study on an adult convicted sex offender and relate their crime and actions to the different units this module on Deviant Behavior
Discuss the differences in child and adult deviant behavior, similarities, and differences. Should they be treated the same once they commit a criminal act?
Choose an organization that has been hampered by deviant behavior and discuss what they have done to try and move forward in their organization. Include material that we have discussed in this module.
