At first I was lost for words. How could I explain the future benefits of acquiring a college education from Monroe? I looked back on my personal statement essay and marveled by the strives and sacrifices that went forward despite the uncertainty. My children are proud that I succeeded and earned my bachelor’s degree in public health. I resigned my former position as a school crossing guard and became a care manager at a non-profit incorporation.
