Research and analyze an important early phase in the commodification for global markets of one globally-traded commodity (i.e., apples or air conditioners, bananas or bicycles, coffee or cement, etc.). For most of you, this paper will be focused on the first round of globalization ~ 1870-1913.

The Travels of a T-Shirt in your analysis (use them as a foil* for your
analysis).

three or more academic, non-class sources
(peer-reviewed books or academic articles).
