In any organization that leverages volunteer staffing, there should be some type of rapport building activities and team-building exercises. Successful organizations find creative ways to collaborate efforts with paid staff and volunteers.  The inclusion of volunteers with in-house organizational events can positively affect volunteer motivation.  However, fair, stated boundaries for both groups should be defined. These boundaries should include integrated group training and individualized group training.  Both groups should have refresher activities to encourage a synergistic relationship. Read Chapter 3 in the textbook by McKee & McKee. “The New Breed” Read Chapters 2 and 6 in the textbook by Fader. “365 ideas for Recruiting, Retaining, Motivating, and Rewarding: Develop a rapport-building activities strategy to engage both paid staff and volunteer rapport building.  Be sure to include the following: The common features/aspects of rapport building that intersect with both paid staff and volunteers.
